The majority of the 218 days of public court hearings that started on 20 November had two sessions: one in the morning and one in the evening. A total of 403 court sessions were held.

  • 2,630 pieces of evidence were presented by the prosecution,
  • 2,700 pieces of evidence were presented by the defence.
  • 259 witnesses testified in court.
  • 5,000,000 sheets of paper weighing 200 tonnes were used during the process, including:
  • 16,000 pages for the minutes of the proceedings,
  • 300,000 affidavit statements given under oath.

To record the evidence and progress of the process the following was used:

27 kilometres of sound tape,

7,000 photographic plates.
